I spent many great years traveling the country with the U.S. Coast Guard both as an active duty member and as a loyal dependent. I enjoyed discovering what each region of the country had to offer. I loved sharing those experiences with my spouse, but now the tide has turned. I became a single women for the first time in my life and really didn’t know who I was or what I wanted to be.
When this happened I moved to the only place that I ever really called home: Boise, Idaho. Growing up in Boise I, like many other so called boomerangs, never wanted to return after learning what other areas of the country had to offer. Boise seemed to lack the things I loved most about those cities. Since moving back I have discovered so much about Boise, more than I ever imagined I would, and I have fallen in love! Those things that were lacking are moving in and merging with the established culture already in place. While learning about Boise I have learned many things about myself too, many things I didn’t know were even possible. I’ve learned the power of family, the power of friends and and the power of courage.
This blog is about me and just that…what I do and why I do it. The many adventures I partake in and the risks associated with them. Along the way we’ll share in the discoveries I continue to make.
- Discoveries about myself.
- Discoveries about my responsibilities.
- Discoveries about my home – Idaho and the wild west.
